The Role
As an SCA Associate Coach, you will be a cornerstone of our community. This is a 6-month renewable contract role designed for experts who want to scale their impact without the heavy lifting of marketing, tech management, or administrative overhead.
Your Responsibilities
-
Create Foundational Content: Develop pre-recorded lessons focused on your specific area of story craft (e.g., character psychology, world-building, pacing, or genre-specific beats).
-
Lead Live "Power Hours": Facilitate one 60-minute live group coaching session per month, with option for more if your class fills. These sessions are high-energy environments where you answer student questions, conduct "Hot Seat" coaching, and provide real-time guidance.
-
Grow the Ecosystem: Utilize your unique discount code to invite your own community into the Academy, earning lifetime monthly commission for every writer you bring in.
Why Coach with StoryCraft Academy?
-
Scalable Income: Earn a content asset fee, a guaranteed monthly retainer for your "Power Hour", plus recurring commission on your referrals.
-
Zero Admin: You keep 80%–90% of the revenue for any "Add-on" services (like 1:1 sessions or manuscript critiques) you sell to Academy members through our platform, while we handle all the processing, customer support, and admin.
-
Design for Learning: Work with a Learning & Development specialist to ensure your teaching sticks.
-
Marketing on Autopilot: We handle the lead generation, the Kajabi tech, and the member support so you can focus entirely on the craft.
Who You Are
-
A Proven Expert: You have a track record in the writing or publishing industry (e.g., published author, veteran editor, agent, etc).
-
A Confident Group Coach: You are comfortable on camera and can manage a live group of writers with empathy and authority.
-
Ethically Aligned: You are committed to human-led creativity and agree to our "No-AI" policy regarding feedback on creative work.
-
A Community Builder: You value the "messy" creative process and enjoy the collaborative nature of group coaching.
