STORY STRATEGY SESSION

Find out what your story needs next.

One hour, one-on-one, with StoryMetrics™ creator Luca Ceccarelli. You'll talk through where your book stands and what's holding it back, and you'll leave with a plan for what to work on next.

One hour · You choose the time

You can tell something's off. You can't tell what.

You've read the craft books. You've outlined, drafted, or revised, maybe all three. And you're still circling the same questions about your own book, because it's hard to see a story from the inside.

An hour with a story strategist gives you an outside read and a direction. This session is for you if any of these ring true:

  • You have a premise you love, but every time you try to outline it, the middle goes blank.
  • Your draft was moving, then it stalled, and now you reread old chapters instead of writing new ones.
  • Your manuscript is finished, or close to finished, and you can't tell whether to revise, get feedback, or start pitching.
  • You keep hearing the same vague note from readers, "I couldn't get into it," and you don't know what to change.
  • You're an Academy member with a full library of courses and workshops, and you want to know which ones matter for your book right now.

What You'll Walk Away With

A Clear Read on Your Story

Luca reads your intake form before the call, so the full hour goes to your book. Using the StoryMetrics™ framework, he'll show you what's working and where readers are likely to drift.

What to Fix First

A stuck manuscript often has one or two problems sitting underneath all the others. You'll leave knowing which to tackle first, so you can stop revising in circles.

Your Next Steps

Whether you have an idea, an outline, a draft, or a finished book, you'll walk away with a short list of what to do next, and which StoryCraft courses, workshops, or coaching fit where you are.

Frequently Asked Questions

What stage does my book need to be at?

Any stage. An idea, an outline, a draft in progress, or a finished manuscript all work. Your intake form tells Luca where you are, and the session starts there.

Do I send pages ahead of time?

No. The intake form asks about your story, where it stands, and what feels stuck, and that's what Luca prepares from. If you want a coach reading your pages, take a look at our coaching options.

Is this only for novelists?

No. StoryCraft works with fiction and narrative nonfiction writers across genres. If your book tells a story, this session applies.

How do I schedule my session?

Right after checkout, you'll fill out your intake form and then choose a time on Luca's calendar from your StoryCraft library. You'll get a confirmation email once you've booked.

Do I need to be an Academy member?

No, anyone can book. If you are a member, Luca can also point you to the courses and workshops in your library that fit your book right now.

What happens after the session?

You'll have next steps you can act on by yourself. If you'd like to keep working with a coach, Luca will tell you which package fits, and if you join within 14 days, what you paid for this session is credited toward it.
