Every writer knows the frustration of having a compelling idea that refuses to become a story. You can feel the potential in it, but you can't quite see the shape... where it starts, where it ends, or how all the pieces connect. It's problem that's very hard to solve alone.

That's exactly what this session is designed to break through. Sophie will come to your ideas fresh, with no assumptions, and help you look at them from angles you might not have considered. Sometimes all it takes is the right question — or someone reflecting your idea back to you in a different way — for everything to click into place.

You'll leave with concrete directions to explore: possible openings, potential endings, and key scenes that could anchor your story. 

If you have an idea that excites you but keeps eluding you... thenyes. This session is especially well suited to writers who have a strong sense of something they want to write, but haven't been able to find the structure, the entry point, or the through-line that makes it feel like a real story. It's also a great fit if you've started something and hit a wall, or if you have several ideas circling and can't work out which one to commit to or how to combine them.

It's not designed for writers looking for line-by-line feedback on existing pages... if that's what you need, then Sophie's Chapter Analysis or First Three Chapters Review would be a better fit. But if you're still at the stage of trying to find the story, this is the place to start.

Before your session, simply send Sophie a brief outline covering your genre, your core idea, and whatever thoughts you've had so far. It doesn't need to be polished or fully formed. The session is designed to work with the rough and unresolved, so there's no need to tidy anything up before you arrive.
