THE PITCH PACKAGE
Your manuscript is ready.
Is your Pitch?
A pitch is a high-stakes opportunity to entice an agent, editor, publisher, or even a reader to want to read your pages. Often, you have only minutes. This package prepares you for that moment.
Get the Pitch PackageYou can write an entire novel... But then someone asks what it’s about.
You’ve drafted, revised, and polished a whole manuscript. But when someone asks you to say what it’s about, the words scatter, you ramble, and can't seem to give your story the description it deserves.
Talking about your story is an entirely different craft than writing it, and almost no one teaches this skill. The good news is that it’s learnable, and you don’t have to be an extrovert to be good at it.
This package is for you if any of these ring true:
- You’ve written the book, but the moment you try and say what it's about, it falls apart.
- You have a pitch appointment or conference slot coming, you’ll get only 5-15 minutes, and you can’t afford to waste them.
- You know that your moment can come at any time to entice someone to read your book, and you feel unprepared.
- Public speaking isn’t your thing, and “just be yourself” has never felt like effective advice.
- You’ve read the craft books and taken the writing courses, but none of them taught you how to talk about your work.
A pitch is not a query letter read out loud.
A query is information, built to be skimmed by an agent trained to read quickly. A pitch is an experience that happens in real time. It is a conversation between two people, often with a timer ticking.
Its job isn’t to sell your manuscript or sign an agent on the spot. It’s far more winnable: get one decision-maker curious enough to read your pages. Every part of The Pitch Package is built for that one outcome.
What You’ll Walk Away With
📝 1:1 Coaching Session (45 min)
A private session to understand exactly what goes into a pitch and how to engage with the frameworks for your specific story. Your coach will help you start to build your pitch and know exactly how to take it to the next level.
📖 The Pitch Package Workbook
A step-by-step guide that takes you from a blank page to a pitch you can deliver in any time slot, built on the StoryMetrics™ framework and based in the realities of the literary industry.
🎤 2:1 Practice Session (45 min)
Say it out loud to two coaches who will help you pressure-test and tighten your pitch, so it lands when the room actually matters. We offer 2:1 so there is more than one opinion in the room, giving you more information to work with.
🎤 Lifetime access to publishing-specific courses
You will get full, lifetime access to Jessica Berg's How to Query Agents course and our (coming August 18, 2026) workshop recording on how to perform in a room
By the end of The Pitch Package, you’ll have a confident answer to “what’s your book about?” for any setting, the know-how to research an agent, editor, or publisher's real tastes before you sit down, and the presence to be a writer they'll remember.
Built by People Who’ve Worked Both Sides of the Table
This isn’t pitch advice from someone guessing at what agents want. The method comes from inside the industry and uses frameworks that get to the heart of what makes a great story connect.
Created by Luca Ceccarelli
Luca spent 25 years in the film industry, where he gave and received countless pitches. He’s now a story coach for novelists, co-founder of StoryCraft Academy, and the creator of the StoryMetrics™ narrative story framework. He built the method that turns your manuscript into a pitch you can deliver anywhere.
Calibrated by Jessica Berg
Jessica is a working literary agent who sits through 30 to 50 pitches a day at conferences. She pressure-tested this program against what agents actually want, notice, and remember so you’re preparing for the room that exists, not the one writers imagine.
Your Coaching Team
Luca built this program and Jessica calibrated it, and they aren't the only people who teach it. Your sessions are led by StoryCraft's pitch-trained coaches, matched to you based on availability. Every one of them works from the same StoryMetrics™ framework and the same industry guidance, so what you walk away with is the same no matter who is in the room with you.
The StoryCraft Academy Pitch Package with Luca was exactly what I needed before I attended a conference with agents and editors for the first time. I went into the conference, feeling prepared and knowing what to expect, and I came out of it with great feedback and momentum thanks to my work with Luca.

Is the Pitch Package Right for You?
This is for you if…
- Your manuscript is finished (or close to finished) and you’re getting ready to put it in front of agents, editors, or indie publishers.
- You have a conference, a pitch fest, or a querying round coming up.
- You can write a full manuscript but freeze when you have to say what your book is about.
- You’re not where you want to be yet when it comes to publishing your work, but you want to sound like a pro.
- You’d rather prepare than wing the most important 5-15 minutes of your writing career.
Come back to this if…
- Your manuscript isn’t close to finished. If you still have a way to go, The Accountability Track and/or the Catalyst to Catharsis Coaching Intensive are probably a better fit at this time.
- You’re not planning to talk to agents, editors, publishers, or readers about your book anytime soon.

Get the Pitch PackageFrequently Asked Questions
Yes. The one rule of pitching fiction: never pitch a manuscript that isn’t finished. Agents can tell, and pitching too early costs you the shot. If your novel is done, you’re ready. The only caveat to this is if you want to practice pitching, and you give agents that heads-up before you go into your novel. However, we recommend purchasing this package only when you have a complete manuscript to get the most value out of it.
Not at all — that’s exactly who this is built for—those who want to be published but who have not gotten there yet, and want to walk into those rooms feeling prepared.
Yes. You don’t need to be an extrovert or a natural performer. Pitching is a craft you practice, not a gift you’re born with — and the practice session exists so the first time you say it out loud isn’t in front of an agent.
No. Formal pitches are part of it, but the everyday “so what are you working on?” is the version you’ll use most — at mixers, in line for coffee, whenever someone asks.
Luca Ceccarelli — 25 years pitching in the film industry and the creator of StoryMetrics™ — created it, and active literary agent Jessica Berg calibrated it, so the guidance matches real pitch rooms.
The membership is an ongoing writing education and community. The Pitch Package is a focused, one-time intensive on a single high-stakes skill: talking about your book. Many writers do both.
You wrote the book. Now walk in ready.
Give the most important few minutes of your writing career the preparation your manuscript deserves.
